Inevitable Common old-age related changes

Most of us wish to live longer with healthy body, mind and soul. That’s the goal of healthy ageing. But being old is inevitable. Eventually each one of us will have to go through the normal ageing process. The cells in our body will go through degeneration with poor regenerative capability. After period of time, our body system will not functioning as good as when we were young despite living as healthy as we can. 

Listed below are some of the common old-age changes that we might get as we grow older:

  1. Chronic health conditions: Heart disease, stroke, diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia are among the most common and costly chronic health conditions of the elderly. Requiring annual checkup, maintaining a healthy diet and keeping a healthy lifestyle.
  2. Cognitive health: Cognitive health is focused on a person’s ability to think, learn, and remember. The most common cognitive health issue facing the elderly is dementia where eventually the inability to preserve their memories.
  3. Increase risk of failing and injuries: Due to aging commonly causes Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis, elderly are more susceptible to losing their balance, bruising, and fracturing a bone. 
  4. Sensory impairments: Losing a proper vision and hearing are extremely common for older age due to degeneration of tissues involve. Luckily, both of these issues are easily treatable by aids from hearing aids and glasses.
  5. Poor Bladder control and constipation: This can greatly affect the elderly quality of life. The Mayo Clinic suggests maintaining a healthy weight, eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly to avoid these elderly health issues.

There is no exact number on at what age an elderly person will get these conditions. However, there are many factors contributing to these conditions. It depends on how much of attention a person care about their health. Even an unavoidable environmental exposure factor can cause premature ageing. One of the main reasons of old ageing process is due to the stem cells in our body greatly reduce in amount. Some of us may get this condition early, known as premature ageing. The goal of early introduction of Stem Cell Therapy to the body is to slowing this process of ageing by reactivate the body regenerative capability.
